3.0 is a lot faster than 2.0. It is backward compatible with a computer that has only USB 2.0 ports. If you have even only one 3.0 port, get a 3.0 jump drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.2.0 is slower than 3.0 transfer and reading wise. And 3.0 sticks is not compatible with 2.0 usb slots it has to be the blue usb slots. 2.0 sticks are compatible with almost any usb slots which is good. If you have 3.0 usb slot then go for 3.0 usb stick. I hope that answers your question.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.USB 2.0 is an older version of USB, it is slower but still useful is someways. USB 3.0 is about 10x as fast as USB 2.0 but if a flash drive says it is 3.0 it will work with any 2.0 slot, it will just be bottle-necked down for speed. The only reason USB 2.0 is still around is for peripherals that are sometimes not compatible with USB 3.0.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have both 2.0 and 3.0 128GB flash drives and use them on both Windows 10 and iMac El Capitan with no issues. By far, the 3.0 is much, much faster at copying than my 2.0. I wouldn't even think of going back to a 2.0 drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.USB 2.0 devices can operate at a maximum of 480Mbps = High Speeds. USB 3.0 devices can operate at a maximum speed of 5Gbps = Super Speeds. Also USB 3.0 has more pins compared to USB 2.0 which has 4 pins,.
