You don't need a large thumb drive for a Windows 10 install. I have the Win 10 install on an 8 GB drive and it takes up 4.8 GB of space.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recently installed Windows 10 on a 64 BIT computer and created an emergency recover flash drive on USB drive 8 GB. To answer your question yes you can put Windows 10 on 64 GB when you only need 8 GB. I was unable to create the windows 10 64 BIT recovery on a DVD. Final thought I installed Windows 10 on a 32 BIT computer; I was able to create a recover desk on DVD that is 4 GB.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wouldn't recommend a thumb drive, since Windows OS is built with massive amount of files & some are pretty large. I would rather rely on SSD or an external HD which are pretty fast and Data transfer is consistent & can multitask around files during Read/Write operations...just my personal experience. Just for a normal data backup or watch media on the go or TV is good use for the thumb drives. Hope this helps! Thanks!
