Hi Trishia, thank you for reaching out! Please know that you do not need to format the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go before first use as it comes pre-formatted with exFAT file system. However, if you want to format it directly through your computer, you may refer to the Answer ID 8200 (https://support-en.sandisk.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/8200). Moreover, formatting the A port or C port doesn’t format them separately, both ends access the same storage, so only one formatting is needed. Just be sure to back up any files first, as formatting will erase all data and can not be undone.
