• A:Answer seeing has I plugged the same device into my Windows 10 desktop without any issue, I would say, "Yes." as long as your laptop has either an 'open' (as in not currently being used by another device) standard USB Type-A or Type-C port, you should be good to go. as with any device connection to the computer, Windows 10 will as you what you want to do with this device (e.g. open File Manager, open Photo Viewer, or nothing). be sure to disconnect this device electronically using the up arrow or carrot located on the right-hand side of the Win10 Taskbar before removing is physically.

• A:Answer Hi Trishia, thank you for reaching out! Please know that you do not need to format the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go before first use as it comes pre-formatted with exFAT file system. However, if you want to format it directly through your computer, you may refer to the Answer ID 8200 (https://support-en.sandisk.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/8200). Moreover, formatting the A port or C port doesn’t format them separately, both ends access the same storage, so only one formatting is needed. Just be sure to back up any files first, as formatting will erase all data and can not be undone.

Operating systems use a binary system which will present a lower number of GBs than the decimal based system used by Storage Device manufacturers to define the capacity of products. This is due to the binary system representing a GBs as a higher number of actual bytes. For example: Operating systems define a 1GB as 1,073,741,824 Bytes.
