This is a new design. I've experienced the high thermal states of the older ones and this one does not seem to be subjected to the same issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Did not experience any overheating issues. 3.1 speeds works well with my HP Spectre x360.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just received two of these, they get VERY HOT when plugged into the USB 3.0 port. They run a lot cooler in the USB 2.0 port, but that defeats the purpose of using a USB 3.0 Flash drive. Well, it runs a little faster than a USB 2.0 drive. This seems to be a problem with most USB Flash drives, though, at least in my experience. I'll use SDHC and SDXC cards from now on. It don't want to see my laptop go up in flames.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It still oveheats...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this is the newly designed version of the ScanDisk Ultra Fit. They "fixed" the overheating issue by making the entire casing plastic! I mean if you're careful it may work fine but every flash drive I put on my keyring that's plastic ends up breaking.
