I wouldn't trust it. Mine died after a few weeks use. Personally I use a regular 8GB USB 3.1 disk drive as backup. Those have a very long life - are ultra-reliable. I have 20 year old drives that still spin up fine. I've never been one to use flash storage as I don't trust them, plus they are easy to lose. This fast failure reinforced everything I think about them. Key about electronics is they'll either work forever or fail quickly. Hope this helps.
