Your computer manual should tell you which ports are which speed - 2.0, 3.0 or 3.1. Mine on my motherboard are red for the 3.1 speed - black is for the older 2.0 version; blue are for 3.0 and some blue, I think, support 3.1 speed, but again check your computer manual. Very few laptops support 3.1 yet - only the newer most expensive ones .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The "SS" notation is for Super Speed, which is the USB3 specification. You'll have to check your computer's model number on the manufacturer's website to see if it goes faster than the original 3.0 specification. Of course, the industry has renamed "USB 3.0" as "USB 3.1 Gen 1" to confuse us.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Check your computer manual, SS only means Super Speed, I only have 1 USB 3.1 port out of 6 on my PC and is type C but i have adapter cable C to B port so I can use the drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The SS notation next to a USB port does indicate high speed 3.0 or 3.1. If you are not getting the speeds we're supposed to you may need to make sure the proper drivers are installed on your operating system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, that SS notation stands for super speed. You should be good to go.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If it has the SS logo it should be support 3.1 high speed transfer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The SS Stands for 'Super Speed' meaning it is USB 3 compatible
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Best bet is to look up the specs on your motherboard or laptop model. But depending on what you're using it for, as long as it's blue, it's at least usb 3 and that's all that is really needed for fast speeds.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am sure it works on any standard USB port. Although, it might be slower. Than again it should be easier to transfer files to your computer. Simply - try it!
