• The write speed of the card, essentially. Ultra is cheaper, and works fine for probably 90% of applications. But if you're shooting 4K video, or want to use it on your cellphone to run lots of apps off of, you'd want to get the Ultra Plus as that one will be faster.

• The speeds on Read and Write are different. Not sure exactly the numbers on each but the plus is faster by a reasonable amount.
