I am using my L bracket and they are only about 4 inches tall and the platform is 3 inches with an inch of width.

They are easy to assemble and I played around with the different mounting options to see the one I liked best and suited my speakers best before assembly. They should not take you longer than 30 minuets for the pair. The only draw back is the hole to run the speaker wire through if you are using any kind of wire with thickness it is a struggle to get through. For me was the toughest part of assembly
