Yes, a sound bar may be mounted to swivel stand; actually it's connected also to the bottom of the TV as far as I can see right now . I am enjoying my new TV and attached sound bar right now. It is mounted on the wall above the fireplace, so the soundbar does not have to take up space on the mantle.
