Its not all plastic the frame and tilt mechanism is mostly coated metal. Tv is easily removed depending on how heavy it is obviously. My 65"requires me to have a helper just because of the sheer size. Something smaller could be easily removed by a single person. However the brackets for tilt/extending will come with it since they bolt to the back of the tv itself.
