• I tried it with a Sony with the outlet behind the TV. The plug end was too deep and I had to get the Geek Squad back out with a deeper mount so the plug behind the TV could be used and the wire not hang down. If you want to plug behind the TV this may not work.

• Hi Diane, Drywall install is not recommended for this mount. It will not hold the weight of the mount and the TV. Thanks, - Haydn @ SANUS
