• We mounted our TV in a corner, at an angle, so (in our case), the TV would not be able to be pushed flat against a wall. However, the box states that the range is between 3.25" to 15.5" when extended.

• I would say about 1-1/2 inches. No more than 2.

• it's a few inches and fairly close. Note the TV folds against the bracket (in the way) or you can extend the TV some away from the wall. It's better than i thought, e.g. against the wall
