This is a math question for which there is a definitive answer if you provide more math variables. My guess is YES, depending on how far exactly you want the Mount's foot to be away from the corner (intersection of two walls). If you want the TV to form a fully closed triangle at the wall with its edges just touching or barely touching the wall (as you say), then careful placement of the mount near the corner will be required. You will need to do the math. If you want it fully set or fixed permanently at 45 degrees always (a triangle in plan) as you say, then you really don't need to spend the money for this bracket. You need to just provide yourself with a wood construction at the corner. If you're not capable of this, then the mount in question will be just fine. Just plan out where you put the mount's foot on the wall.
