Not sure I understand the question fully, but one edge of the tv can touch the wall while the other is tilted out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Part of that depends on the width of your TV. The pivot is right on the back of the TV so it can start tilting side to side as soon as you pull it away from the wall.
