Hello DScrev, Thanks so much for the question. This full-motion mount is very versatile when it comes to placement on the wall and ability to shift the "arm" from side to side on the wall plate. This makes mounting in a corner or next to a window a breeze. Just make sure that your wall plate is securely screwed into the wood studs and you should be set. If you need more help, please contact our SANUS Care Team at [email protected]. Thanks again, Michael
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The mount base is 31 1/4 wide by 12 inches high. That is the area that mounts to the wall. You need that much wall space to use the mount. I know it will go at least 30 degrees. The TV and wall mount lock in and you have to pull the release to dismount the TV from the wall mount it will not come off otherwise. You would need to look on the manufactures web site to see if it would go to 45.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First and foremost, I recommend you install into wall studs. You will need to swing the mount out to its full extension and that will apply too much leverage to just mount it on the drywall alone. The mounting scenario you describe is similar to my own. First, using a pencil and a stud finder, mark the location of all the studs in the corner on both walls. Realize that if the mount is placed too far into the corner, you won't have room enough for the 55-inch TV. You will have to come out about 16 inches from the corner to drill the mounting holes closest to the corner (this is based on the fact that most homes built in the US have studs placed 16 inches on center , though yours could be different). To determine which wall to use (East or North in your case) hold the mount up to the wall aligning the mounting holes to your pencil marks showing the studs. I would choose the wall that gives the largest distance from the other things in the wall; in your case a window. In my case, I had a window 62 inches from the corner on one wall and a door 78 inches from the corner on the other. I mounted on the wall with 78 inches of clearance. If you really want to get a good idea what it will look like, use the TV box and make a cut out of the TV's dimensions and temporarily tape it to the mount when you hold it up to the wall. You'll likely need a friend to help you if you want to try this, but it will give you a clear picture of where the TV will be and how much room for adjustment you have on the left and right of the TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes this will work. You could put the mount on the left and you could turn the TV on a 45
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't help you with that, but wanted to give a warning. We just bought this mount tonight for our LG 52"....the website says it fits VESA 800mm x 400mm. It does NOT. Their website is wrong. It only goes up to 700mm x 400mm. Just wanted to warn you in case yours is also 800mm x 400mm. We just took it back and purchased another one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just mount it onto the flat wall so you can pull it out and angle it to view.
