Hi There! Yes, this can be painted using latex based paint. Primer is optional, so you should be able to use whatever latex paint you prefer.

I don’t believe it needs to be primed , just paint. Or get the paint with primer already in it :)

Yes, you can paint it. I used a paint and primer in one. I did two coats to ensure full coverage and it matches the wall perfectly.
