• We have not tested this stand to be cat-proof. It is a sturdy stand, if you are concerned about your cat tipping it over I'd recommend an anti-tip strap with this stand to give it extra security. Thanks, - Haydn @ SANUS

• Well an Anti-tip strap certainly does prevent the TV on the mount, from tipping forward. But If my cat launches off the top of the flat screen TV, launches forward, nothing prevents the TV from tipping backwards and hitting the wall behind it!!
