Yes. I own a 49" Samsung QLED TV and the Sanus Swiveling Stand Base fits 32" to 60" TVs works great. Your 49" Sony Bravia TV should work fine. The only issue I would have is that screws (11 different length size) that come with the stand base box may not fit. So, ask what kind of diameter and length of screws you need for your Sony TV. If the screws that will fit your Sony TV are in the box, your good.
