“I just purchased a Sony Bravia Model XBR-55A8F. The existing base is flush with the cabinet and you can't get fingers under the TV to move it or shift for dusting being it. Can this stand be attache to my TV? Any cautionary comments/advice? Thank you!”

Yes, you can attach this to your television. Your model is 55 inches, and this fits most televisions between 32 and 60 inches.

To get the exact dimensions of what space you'll have between the base and the bottom of your TV, you'll need to locate where the mounting holes are located on the back of your TV (middle, top, etc).
