• Yes. Could mount on one stud for strength, then use drywall to stabilize rotation.

• You need to send away for an expander kit to use with 24" studs (Free of charge I believe)

• I used dry wall anchors not included and didn't attach to a stud.

• Yes. The bracket allows for flexibility on stud locations.
