No you don't need a certain TV mount. It should work with the mount you have. This mount is to be attached to your TVs bottom VESA holes and the TV brackets on your mount. Below is a link to the instruction manual if you'd like a visual. https://www.sanus.com/assets/products/wssatm1/documents/WSSATM1_IM_2010126.pdf Thanks, - Haydn @ SANUS
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The way this works is that you remove the current mount on the tv, and this one goes underneath. It has spacers so the top of your current mount sits parallel to the bottom. hope it makes sense. i have mine mounted and it worked great. Take a look at the install manual... https://www.sanus.com/assets/products/wssawm1/documents/WSSAWM1_IM_201026.pdf Now if you dont have a tv mount that extends from the wall then why not just mount the ARC to the wall? I bought this because i have a mount that extends from the wall and turns to face another room when Im at the dining room table. this mount allows the arc to move with the TV. If you dont plan to move the tv much then this might be overkill unless you just dont want to hang it on the wall.. Thanks
