“I got this kit as a gift and I did not have any instructions with it. So I am just wondering, how in the world do I attach the lens filters so that I can warm and cool the light? The two filters included in the kit don't seem to work with the lights.”

The clear plastic on the light bulbs can actually unscrew. After you do so, you can then replace it with the warm/cool filter.
