It would but I don't recommend Seagate hard drives.

Please try again later.I don't know what drive is in the HP 2000 laptop computer, but you can find out what drive is in your computer by bringing up the Device Manager in Windows, then selecting the hard drive in the listings. You will see the drive model number which you can just search for with Google. The Sandisk SSD is a 2.5" 7mm form factor with a SATA interface. I replaced the hard drive in my i3 HP laptop with this SSD.
