While it hasn’t been out long enough to know or determine any failure rates, it’s designed to stay plugged in at all times. It’s very sleek/compact and portable should you want to bring your installed games over to a friends console. I’m really enjoying the extra storage space and while it’s expensive, I’d recommend it!
