• Seagate comes formatted for Windows, nice thing about file format it doesn't care about 32bit or 64bit both work just fine

• I have only tried it with window 7 and it worked properly on the USB2.0 port. All I can say is check the store policy about returning for a full refund if it is not recognized by the operating system.

• Mine have worked well with Vista and Windows 10. Have not tried XP or any earlier operating system.
