Will this work in PS4? I updated my PS4 to 1tb awhile ago and it's almost full. Would this hard drive fit/work in a PS4 or is 4tb too much for it to handle?

Once disassembled the hard drive is still to thick to fit into the original hard drive slot

Internally? I'd have to take the other guys word for it, but would it add to any overheating issues or excessive fan blowing issues? I don't know. The 2TB version seems fine as an internal and there are plenty of videos out there showing you it fits. Still the 4TB internal is mad tempting. Keep in mind there are many different models of the PS4 out there now, and each could respond differently. You could try it first, or not bother to crack open the casing at all 'cause ... the game changer here is ... the PS4 will now allow game installs to external drives. So yeah, this drive seems perfect for that. Plug 'n play with a quick formatting, and you'll be downloading all those free (PS Plus) games you didn't have room for, in no time.

I just updated mine with this Seagate 4TB hard drive and my PS4 system works just fine. It's a tight fit but it does fit and it does work.

I use a 3 tb seagate full size drive in my ps4 just get the nyco databank 3.5 it adapts it and covers it.

Not 100% sure about PlayStation but it SHOULD work just fine. I have it hooked up to my xbox one and no issues whatsoever.

You should be fine, I would recommend getting one that is more stationary , rather than one meant to move around. Just to be a little more efficient.
