- Answer yes it will store it fine, however it is NOT rated as a purple hard drive. Purple is used to store CCTV video on the fly. If you are storing already saved video and importing it you will have no problems.

QuestionI am cut ttng the cord on my satellite service. Can I use this device to put my shows on, that I don't have time to watch live? It would be hooked up to a PDVR using an OTA antenna. Thanks for any help

QuestionWill this work with a Sony Bluray Player's USB Port? It has never been able to read anything over 2TB before, but those were all bigbox desktop 3-5TB drives that it would not read. Until now, I have stayed with the 2TB slims.

- Answer If you have a USB 2 or 3 port available to plug the drive in you can use this product. That Samsung should be running Windows 10 most likely but I'm sure even an earlier version of Windows will recognize it.

QuestionHave a new Mini Inspiron, installed Windows (incl.) and it is now out of memory/storage. Can/how can I set up this drive to be the "permanent" place for storing/running all additional files, apps, etc. upon start-up? Thanks!

- Answer The drive is better used to store your less active data to free up space on your internal drive. Move your photos, music, etc. off of your internal drive onto this external USB drive. They would still be accessible. Freeing up space on the OS drive is more useful.

- Answer Yes, you can make a disk image of your computer and then copy it over to the drive. It can then be restored from your computer later on if you need to. I just did this with my drive on my mac.
