• No, there is nothing on the drive until you put something there. I do not know about other Operating Systems, but AMD and Intel recognize the drive in a matter of seconds with no input from you. There is, however, no OS pre-installed on the drive. You must install the OS of your choice BEFORE using it as the "C" drive in your computer.
