If your HP system board has SATA ports, and is at least newer then 10 years old, it should work fine. I would recommend checking your machine specs to verify it can handle a 2 TB storage device. Another consideration is whether you are using it as additional storage, or if you are going to clone it as the boot drive. HP sometimes has some quirks with cloning drives.
