• This hard drive is a SATA drive and can connect too any SATA connection with a SATA cable too the mother board it does not have a PCI express connection Available on the back of the hard drive so it will not be a PCI express drive . The PCI express drives are smaller and compact and only have a PCI express connection on the drive no SATA cable connection and they are the new way of connecting To the mother board via PCI express like Video cards With the PCI express connection.

• This is not a PCI-E hard drive it is a SATA connected. PCI-e is a type of expansion slot on a motherboard, there are add on cards and solid state drives that would go into this slot. This hard drive is a standard internal physical hard drive with platters and a read write head etc i.e moving parts internal to the drive. It needs a standard power connection as well as a SATA interface cable connection for data transmission.
