No, its meant for backing up or ingesting other usb hard drives.

No, it can't. You can use a LAN cable to connect directly from the drive to your computer, though. The USB port on the drive is meant to add an additional USB hard drive, which would then also be accessible through the network.

I just looked at the back of mine and there is a usb port, so I'd say yes.

You can plug an external USB drive into it and transfer files via ssh in terminal or command promt. Use google to look up how if needed
