• Play directly. just keep it plugged in the whole time. if there is a light, it will stay lit/green.

• Yes, you can play games directly from the external. You can access apps directly from the external as well, I.e. Netflix, Hulu, etc. You can even set it up to have your PS4 download all new games directly to the external so you don’t have to use the internal drive for more than just your clips and system data
