• Yes it works for the new Xbox series X. My kids are using it for theirs.

• Certain games that are optimized for series S and X do and don’t work on an SDD like this. So some will lose the faster loading time. But for the most part most of the games are fine with playing and storing, you just lose the faster loading times and quick resume if it was on your Internal hard drive as opposed to the external
