• you can re-download everything. its all saved through Microsoft store on xbox, just a huge hassle. I would go with something else. Mine died in less the 5 months

• I have no idea of the length of life cycle but I would assume if its not constantly picked up and moved around while its in use it will last more than long enough to justify the purchase price. As for losing all your games if it does die all disc based games can be re installed and all digitally purchased games can always be re downloaded from the xbox store. All game saves are also saved in Microsofts cloud so you dont lose them either.
