no the xbox hardrive will only work with xbox one you will have to buy a different type of external hard drive for your computer

It liked like a normal computer hard drive to the Xbox. There didn't seem to be any special firmware or settings. I'm pretty sure this is just a standard USB 3.0 drive. That implies you could use it on a PC. Not sure if you can move it back and forth between PC and Xbox one though.

You can use it for the pc. But once its formated for the xbox you will have to formate it to be able to use it on a pc again

May need to reformat when you swap from one to the other, but it works on both.
