• I honestly don't know what EFI means, but it works perfectly fine on my Xbox Series X. I just plugged it in, formatted, and it has been working great for me.

• Unplug it. Turn Xbox on. Dialog should come up asking you to format. If you are not prompted to format the drive, you can manually initiate the format process using the following menu selections: Home > Settings > System > Manage Storage The drive should be detected under ‘Manage Storage’. Select the drive and choose to format for ‘Games and Apps’. NOTE: If the drive is not detected under Manage Storage, disconnect and reconnect the drive while the Xbox is on.
