• Gen 2, the gray one is Gen 2 as well, but goes slower, and one third as far, with less room for your feet, and is overall way worse. If this was the gen 1 still than id say get the gray one. But every ninebot max that is sold by best buy is a Gen 2 motor now since july 2021. Hope that helps

• This version (black version) the battery last longer. I think I would’ve gotten the gray one to save $100. Either way both are great and I believe the gray one is older

• Both of them have the same generation motors, the only difference they have is the charging port, color, and range. The G30P (dark) has more range or battery life, and has a fast charging port while the G30LP (lighter) has only 1 port and lesser range or battery life.
