“Can I connect the hub to my wifi even though it only runs at 5 gigahertz. I am having problems connecting other lights that don’t need a hub because of this. My wifi company xfinity doesn’t offer 2.4 gigahertz wifi.”

You have to manually split the WiFi signal from your Xfinity router in to its 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz component signals so your lightbulbs can work on the 2.4 one.
