When using the cable, you can still use the noise cancelling feature which is great. To do so, when the audio cable is in the headphone, press on the on/off switch and it will turn on/off the feature. You do not need to long-press it. There will be a blue light that will turn on, thus signifying that the noise-cancelling feature has been enabled. It will, however, run out eventually when the battery runs out, but you will still be able to use the headphone without noise cancelling. I hope this helps.
