A:AnswerThere is a weird quirk with the cable that they don't call out to enough in their instructions. Look at the end that should connect to the headphones. You will see that there are nubs for locking in the headphone end. You may need to rotate the headphone-side part of the cable while pushing in until you can feel it go deeper. You can then try rotating more, potentially in both directions to get the right one, and it should lock.
The strange thing is that the headphones will recognize you have jacked in the cable even when they haven't reached maximum depth for locking in. It'll still disable all the wireless things like turning on of the headphones and the sound buttons even when the headphones are essentially unusable. I was so convinced I had a defective product that I ended up foolishly exchanging mine. Some articles that I hadn't found in my first search pointed me the right way. Hopefully that helps.
If Sennheiser reads this, make your start-up instructions for plug-in vs. bluetooth clearer. Putting the lock-in instructions off to an easily dismissed corner will cause a lot of grief and hurt your brand when they think the headphones don't work for cable.
A:AnswerWhen charging the Bluetooth turns off but they still work with the audio cable. Seems an odd design decision to turn Bluetooth off when you have external power but that's how they are.
I used them on a flight across the pacific for 13 hours both on battery and while charging.
A:AnswerTry setting the headphones to pairing mode:
1) Turn off headphones
2) Hold the power button for 5-10 seconds until the light alternates between blue and red (the headphones are now in pairing mode)
3) Go to the bluetooth settings on your ipad to connect
A:AnswerIn short, no. When connected to the PS4 controller via the aux cable, they are not detected as either a microphone or alternate audio output source. The headphones suspend button functions while hardwired as part of the design so these are not really a gaming option. Better off using these as part of a home theatre solution
A:AnswerYes, very possible. You will need a Bluetooth transmitter if your TV does not have functionality built in. I'm using an Avantree Priva III. Works great.
A:AnswerFor both to work depends on you TV Sound system and not the headphones. The Bluetooth on my TV works with the HD4.5 but the tv shuts off the TV speakers.
A:AnswerI own these and got the black pair for my husband. The headphones themselves are pretty much identical except the red accents. They seem legit to me.
A:AnswerWhen using the cable, you can still use the noise cancelling feature which is great. To do so, when the audio cable is in the headphone, press on the on/off switch and it will turn on/off the feature. You do not need to long-press it. There will be a blue light that will turn on, thus signifying that the noise-cancelling feature has been enabled. It will, however, run out eventually when the battery runs out, but you will still be able to use the headphone without noise cancelling. I hope this helps.
