• I don't use Apple products, so it should be your responsibility to find out the impedance of your Apple product's output. My guess is that it would be better suited for low impedance (generally <50Ω) headphones. This isn't for you. Stick to your airpods.

• Yes you need both a good quality DAC and AMP. These headphones are 300 ohms.
