It can be, the cord is a generic rubber insolation style. So the cable can get tangled easily. Personally I just let loose the amount of cable I needed, bound the rest with the twist tie. Then made an effort to straighten the cable I let loose so it doesn't get bundled, twisted, or tangled as easily.
