I find that the bass is adequate for movies and TV and good FOR THE PRICE. The bass is better than I get from the speakers on the Insignia flat screen I have them attached to. However, if you are a serious audiophile, I suspect that you would want to invest in something better (i.e. more expensive).

If you want a more natural sound, the HD 201 is a great choice. Its bass response is indeed powerful but not overwhelming. If you are looking for a very bassy headphone, the HD 202 is more suited for you.
