“When charging in the case, what's the ratio between charging times and use time? So if the fully charged ear buds have 7 hours play time, and I need an extra hour or two, just how much time do the ear buds need to be in the case to achieve this?”

The battery will not last 7 hours regardless of how long they charge. I can not get thru the work day without having to recharge overnight till the next workday
