Please try again later.As with any piece of equipment that you have in your home or the vehicle you drive, maintenance is of utmost importance for your equipment to work efficiently. As it states in the manual, filtration is is excellent at 99.9%.. There are also several filters that you can choose to make your house filtration even more effective.. I use the filter that also includes getting rid of oders. These filters have a charcoal lining to eliminate oders. I have not had my air purifier that long, I'il change the filters at 6 months and or when the machine says I should change them after the amount of hours it has been used. When I change the filters I will also wipe the machine down using a Wet rag followed by a rag with alcohol on it.. That will help disinfect The area that filter sits in, and the controls on top of the machine . I also use the automatic mode to save electricity.. To compliment the the air filtration, I also make sure though make sure my carpets are cleaned regularly to include my furniture dusting. I also compliment my air filtration with the best filters for my air conditioning/heating unit in the home. Be advised some air conditioning companies and hardware stores will advise these filters affect the proper operation of your air conditioning/heater unit. Be smart and change them every 3 months as advised on the package to eliminate your AC heating unit being damaged. I have chronic sinusitus from 30 years in the military.. These filters for the home and the air purifiers are a Godsend.
