“Does this vacuum stand up on its own without removing the head for storage? Mine doesn't seem to so when I stop vacuuming to pick up something or answer the phone I have to lay it down or stand it up against a wall. Am I missing something here?”

• I do detach it because it's top heavy. I believe that or laying it down it's only options.
