Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have laminate floors and 2 dogs that shed a lot. It can grap the kibble they leave on the floor and gets pet hair up without a problem. It is very lightweight. I also have wool area rugs, which even though good quality, still shed after 3 years whenever vacuumed. This little vacuum is so powerful that it sucks up not only pet hair and dust but substantial wool each time I vacuum. It has a setting for hard floors and one for carpet. The beater bar rotates only in the carpet mode. I have to empty the cup at least twice to do my kitchen, hall and great room. This is not my main vacuum and only use for quick clean ups. I have another Shark vacuum that is a plug in with wider cleaning path. This little duo has similar umph to the plug in model.
