“Does this require a smart phone for use?”

• There is no remote, so I don't know that you could set it up without a smart phone and their app.

• If you wish to schedule it or get the notifications when it’s battery is low or dust pan needs to be emptied then yes. But it can be started manually and set back to the dock manually. So it’s not necessary to have one.

• Yes we use an Android phone it didn't come with any other kind of remote

• No you can just psh te dean button on the unit to start the clean. If you want to automatically set up a cleaning cycle you would need to put the app on something iPad, phone other tablet etc. I don’t use the app and I still love it
