“Do you actually need 2 feet of space on each side of the base for placement location? We have our current Roomba in our walk-in pantry without issue but there's only about 1ft of space on each side of base. I'd prefer to put this in place of our Roomba.”

The Shark Matrix Plus Robot Vacuum & Mop is recommended to have 2 feet of clearance on each side and 5 feet in front for optimal docking and operation. However, some users have successfully placed it in tighter spaces, like pantries, with around 1 foot of side clearance. While it may still function, reduced space can potentially impact how well it docks and recharges. If space is limited, ensure the unit has enough room to maneuver effectively.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had trouble getting it to map the room correctly when it was behind the couch. Once mapped, you can move it. It is actually much better at docking itself than the roomba.
